Garage break-in in BEDFORD ROAD, RUSHDEN, NN10 0SQ. 

 

Dear Resident

 

We are investigating a garage break-in which occurred on BEDFORD ROAD in RUSHDEN.

 

The theft occurred between 6th of December 2024 at 00:00 and on the 14th of January 2025 at 00:00 when the incident occurred. 

We are keen to hear from anyone who may have information relating to the theft or that may have been in the area around the time of the incident and heard or seen anything suspicious.

Garage break 

  • If you have a burglar alarm at home, ensure it extends to cover the garage too.
  • Add external lighting to cover the garage door.
  • If your garage has windows, keep these closed and locked
  • Additional mortice locks can be added to ‘up and over’ garage doors to improve security

    • Shed break

  • Sheds are often broken into by burglars who will steal tools to use to break into your house. Keep your shed locked and obscure any windows with window film, paint, or net curtains.
  • If possible, choose to store expensive items such as lawn mowers, hedge cutters, bikes and tools more securely in a garage.
